Autonomous Guidance System For Loaders, Rock-Breakers, Block-Holers etc… Nautilus has been developing their AGS system for loaders for a long time. The first semi-automated AGS design started in 1998 at Northparkes, Australia. In 2000, we designed and manufactured ‘Lucy’ our electric loader to test all of our Radio, Teleremote and Autonomous Guidance Systems. Lucy is only 1/5th the size of a real loader but she’s fitted with a full size AGS system. For 18 years, we’ve used Lucy and our indoor mine to simplify, improve, miniaturize and test all types of systems. Our indoor mine has three fully equipped Control Rooms with more than 25 Drawpoints and multiple Ore-Passes. TC5 - AUTOMATED MACHINE SELECTION The operator can enter any machine’s Plate # into any TC5 and it will be ready to operate that machine. To make sure the operator hasn’t accidentally entered the wrong Plate # the screen will show him the machine he has selected. For example: if the operator pushes button 1 then 2 at the bottom of his TC5 to enter Plate # 12 then the TC5 will show him: ARE YOU SURE YOU WANT TO OPERATE CAT LHD R2900-12 If the operator pushes YES then the TC5 will be ready to operate and ask him to touch a deadman button. When he does this: The Horn on this LHD will blast 3 times and it’s front and rear lights will flash 3 times to warn anyone nearby that it’s about to be remotely controlled. If the operator is in a Surface Control Room he will receive excellent audio feedback from this LHD so he will hear the horn blasting and if his Control Room is not too bright he will also see the lighting around his LHD flashing on and off on his TV’s.
