How do we make the Simple Present Tense? We use the simple present tense to talk about things that happen regularly, to express habits and routines. with the simple present we often use time expressions such as: always, usually, often, sometimes, hardly ever, never…. For example: Juan plays football on Saturdays. I always go to work at 8:00 0’ clock. we also use the simple present to talk about facts that are generally true. For example: the sun rises in the east. How do we make the Simple Present Tense? subject+auxiliary verb+main verb (I / YOU / HE / SHE / IT / WE / YOU/ THEY + DO / DOES + TAKE ) For positive sentences, we do not normally use the auxiliary verb. For the 3rd person singular (he, she, it), we add s to the main verb or es to the auxiliary. ( he takes a shower) or ( he does not go to the school)
To make negative sentences we need the subject+ do/does+ not + infinitive verb (without to). I do not work or he does not work. To make questions: For example: Do I work? Do you work? Does he/she/it work? Do we work? Do you work? Do they work?
MY DAILY ROUTINE I usually get up at nine o`clock, but sometimes I am sleepy. Then I make the beds - mine and my sister`s bed, clean my room and go to the bathroom to take a shower and to brush my teeth. At half past ten I often have breakfast and watch TV. At eleven o`clock I start to do my homework. When I finish with my homework if I have free time I play on my computer. At quarter to twelve I have lunch and then I get ready to go to the university. When I finish the classes at nine p.m - I go at home .Then I have dinner and I watch TV. After dinner I always brush my teeth. Then I go to my room and I sometimes listen to music with my sister. At half past twelve I go to sleep. This is my daily routine.
