Geometry Around School By Mrs. Rogers’ Fabulous 4th Graders!

They found a right angle They found a right angle! It’s a 90 degree angle where two line segments meet.

Can you tell what kind of 3-D shape they’re pointing at Can you tell what kind of 3-D shape they’re pointing at? (Hint: You’ll “C” it very quickly.) 

What two polygons are they pointing to? What 3_D shape is the ball wall?

These two shapes are related, do you know how These two shapes are related, do you know how? One is 3D and the other is 2D.

Another example of the 3D shape like the ball wall Another example of the 3D shape like the ball wall. Not a rectangle, but a .

This is a “grate” example of a square and parallel lines.

What’s your angle?

What 3D shape are they pointing at? (Hint: not a square!)

Can you guess what type of lines these are?

Summary This helped us learn how much geometry you see in your life on a daily basis. This helped us see 3-dimensional shapes and geometric figures in different places.
