Figure 3 Delayed expulsion of the nematode Trichuris muris from Muc2-KO mice and their resistant wild-type (C57BL6) littermates that were infected orally with 300 eggs. Worm burden was assessed on days 13, 15, 20, 25, and 30 postinfection. Gastroenterology 2010 138, 1635-1638DOI: (10.1053/j.gastro.2010.03.012) Copyright © 2010 AGA Institute Terms and Conditions

Figure 4 Immunolocalization of CFTR in the pancreas. (A) Normal subject specimen. (B) Surgically resected AIP specimen. Biopsy specimen before (C) and after treatment (D) from the same AIP patient. (E) Pancreatic sections obtained from normal subjects (n = 4) from AIP patients at 0 (n = 7) or 3 months (n = 7) treatment were scored at 0 (none), 1 (slight), 2 (moderate), and 3 (severe) for the degree of cytoplasmic staining of CFTR in pancreatic ducts. CFTR localization was also examined in the pancreas from alcoholic (F), obstructive (G), and idiopathic (H) patients of chronic pancreatitis. Each panel represents 6 alcoholic, 2 obstructive, and 3 idiopathic pancreatitis specimens, respectively. Bars = 20 μm. Insets show images at a higher magnification.
