Project 7: Modeling Social Network Structures and their Dynamic Evolutions with User- Generated Data from IoT REU Student: Emma Ambrosini Graduate mentors: Marzieh Edraki Faculty Mentor(s): Dr. Guo-Jun Qi Week 5 (June 19 – June 23, 2017) Accomplishments: Reviewed online Deep Learning course Updated batch normalization function in DC GAN code, ran & gathered samples Began process of translating Loss-Sensitive GAN to tensorflow DC GAN Read further into LS GAN code and paper, identifying functions and structure Got Tensorflow slim & original DCGAN code running Issues/problems encountered and solutions (if any): Problem with DC GAN learning – results were not as good as they should have been after 20 epochs Possible problem with the batch normalization Solution – possibly updating Cuda Plans for next week: Continue identifying key parts of the LS GAN and how they will be carried over to, and implemented in, Tensorflow Read further into the equations used and how they are run within the actual code Gather generated samples from DC GAN NSF REU Research Experience on Internet of Things 2017
