A New Life in Christ I Peter 4:1-11

The Attitude of Christ Jesus remained obedient by focusing on the eternal; not the temporary God may allow us to suffer to keep us from living in sin Suffering puts our focus back on God

Leaving the Life of Sin A Christian doesn’t live in a state of continual sin Our “New Nature” desires to please God If you repent and return to God, He will never turn you away

Dealing with our “Friends” Your old friends might put you down Your true friends will stick by you and respect your decision for Christ Those who heap abuse on you will face God’s judgment

Preaching to the Dead Those who reject the Gospel are dead in their trespasses and sins Those who accept Jesus have crossed over from death to life (John 5:24) Those who reject Jesus will face God’s judgment

Preparing for Jesus’ Return Love one another deeply, because love covers a multitude of sins Practice hospitality to others Use your gifts to serve others
