Convention of climate change and kyoto protocol of 1997 James Singer

It was a proposal to countries in the UN to reach an agreement to end climate change The main goal was to set goals to reduce global emissions to put a halt to climate change Developed countries had different requirements for them then the developing countries did Every country signed the treaty except Afghanistan Sudan and U.S.A

Different countries had different legal agreements to reduce greenhouse gas emissions For example The U.S was required to reduce its 1990 emission levels by 7% while Europe was supposed to by 8% by 2012 Some developing countries were allowed an increase in greenhouse gas emissions to try and get their economy running The main goal of the kyoto protocol was to help limit climate change by reducing greenhouse gas emissions
