Welcome Adjuncts, go to forms.ovu.edu. Find Academic Information for Instructors 2016-17 Check Items 2, 3, & 4 on that list and complete the tasks. Print/Sign/Date the page and give it to Terri Butterfield

From Dr. Joy Jones, VPAA: * Do not allow students to use phones as calculators. * Focus your courses on content and nothing else. * Address your courses’ assigned learning outcomes. * Check Sakai site-OVU Syllabi 2016-17 for updated templates. * Provide your OVU e-mail address to your students. * Send completed syllabus to your dean by 8-26-16 for review. Your dean will upload it to the Sakai site. * Change your password for computer & MyLink logins. * Check your OVU e-mail.

Classroom Courtesies Please don’t allow anyone to sit on classroom tables. If you use the screen, raise it before leaving. Before leaving: * Arrange the room in the original set-up. * Erase the boards. * Have everyone dispose of trash. * Close the windows, even if another class is coming. Would you adopt your classroom (TLC, report maintenance needed, etc.)? Tell Terri Butterfield. Thank you.

Sakai Lassie creates a shell for every course on the schedule. Add basics to your course-syllabus, resources. Could use for communication, assignment submission, Lessons tool, calendar/schedule. Important for unavoidable absences. Tell your students that, in an emergency that requires cancellation of a class (your illness, weather), that you will place an assignment on the course site. Brown Bag Lunches in Room 142 on 2nd and 4th Fridays each month, 11:40-1:00pm. Training. Sharing. Reminder e-mails will go out. Sakai 11 installation on Dec. 19. Different look.
