Cafeteria Information Student prices: Breakfast: $1.25 Lunch: $2.15 You may pre-pay & review charges online: www.mypaymentsplus.com Reduced lunch applications are available through the cafeteria and the Cobb County website. Menus and a la carte prices item prices are available on the Keheley website. Let the cafeteria manager know if your child should not use account money for “extras.” Renee.Musselwhite@cobbk12.org No fast food allowed. Breakfast is served 7:15-7:45.

Absence and Dismissal Policy Please send a note from home if there is an absence or change in afternoon dismissal. No changes in dismissal or early checkouts after 1:45. Regular attendance is vital to your child’s success in second grade. *More information at the end of the presentation

Clinic/Medication Policies: PTA PTA membership is $6.00. Help us achieve Keheley’s 100% membership goal! Foundation New to Keheley this year! Focuses on long term goals Works on things that are not possible for PTA Clinic/Medication Policies: ALL medication must be sent to the clinic in the original container (including cough drops) Parents should bring in any medication that needs to be administered at school.

Homework Check the weekly press release: Read for a minimum of 20 minutes per night Complete the daily math assignments Homework will be checked but not graded. Monthly choice boards will be available as extension activities. The choice boards are NOT required.

Behavior Management Behavior Bucks: Earn money for good behavior & lose money for poor choices Use money to purchase prizes and privileges Positive reinforcement for individual students, small groups, and the whole group.

Communication Blue folders: Initial press release nightly. Use for transportation changes. Paperwork comes home on Tuesdays. Email is a great way to communicate (except for transportation changes). Remind Texts will be used to send out quick reminders Second grade website

Upcoming Events 2nd Grade PTA Performance (Tuesday, October 6th) Conference Week (October 19-23) Performing Arts permission slips must be signed to participate. Celebrations: 1 classroom party per year (prior to December break) Birthdays: Birthdays-treats may be shared at lunch Will celebrate summer birthdays on/near their ½ birthdays Invitations will only be distributed at school if the whole class is invited.

How can you help? Make sure your child does his or her homework. Sign behavior sheet/Press Release and reinforce behavior expectations at home. Read the Press Release and blog regularly to stay informed. Be a volunteer: Room parents 2nd grade store Copy helpers (must complete training session 1st) Mystery readers Dads on Duty Career Education PTA
