Mental/Emotional Health Target: I will be able to explain the key components of mental-emotional health. Mental/Emotional Health: The condition of a person’s mind and the ways they express feelings.   Pg. 19

4 Components of Mental-Emotional Health: 1. Learning- Increasing your knowledge will increase your coping skills, self-confidence, awareness, and self-perception.

2. Self-Intuition- Being attentive to your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, whether positive or negative.

3. Spiritual Health: Being able to cope with stressors in life and finding meaning and purpose in the things that we value.

4. Stress Management: Appropriately dealing with the ways our bodies and minds cope with life changes. Tips for Dealing with Stress: 1. Get some sleep 2. Focus on your strengths 3. Get physically active 4. Do things that make you happy

5. Talk to someone 6. Meditation- thinking deeply or focusing one's mind for a period of time as a method of relaxation. Summary:
