Graduate 10,000 black engineers by 2025 Foster Growth through Chapter Engagement Increase Domestic Membership by 5% Pilot New Chapter Start Up Guide Increase International Membership by 900* What is the Strategic Plan? - Breakdown what 10,000 Black Engineers by 2025 means to each chapter going into the year. Foster Growth through Engagement - introduce Membership Zone branding and “Customer Service attitude to engage each and every member. Increase Membership by 5% - What is your campus culture? Who is your target audience. Do people understand the value of NSBE? Pilot New Chapter Start Up Guide - Retrieve best practices information from each chapter. Gage strengths and weaknesses. Recruitment & Retention What’s in it for you? What makes NSBE stand out from other prominent organizations on your campus? Is your chapter holding back from it’s greatest potential? Membership Engagement Do you KNOW your members? Personal interactions go a long way. Who’s doing all the work? What’s in it for you? NSBE must be the premier organization on your campus to be a part of. Is it the way you carry yourself? The dynamic of your meetings? The family atmosphere? Academic Success? Gage your chapter’s strengths and ask yourself why you joined the Society? (Time for collaboration/conversation) Membership Engagement As Membership Chair, you are the customer service hotline for your members. Even as a board member, your gbm are looking up to you as a role model and are watching how you brand yourself. The more you know about someone, the better you know how to help them. Membership Statistics Current Membership Numbers Freshman - Senior and Graduate Students NSBEConnect provides current members Incoming Freshman Zone Involvement Membership, Programs, Communications, Finance? Know your chapter’s penetration and retention rate. Penetration Rate: Number of black engineers on campus/number of black engineers in NSBE Retention Rate: Percentage of NSBE members staying in engineering and NSBE from one year to another (freshman > senior) SYNERGISTIC LEADERSHIP: STRENGTHENING OUR FOUNDATION THROUGH COLLABORATION
