Fig. 3 100% polyester single side covered silicone mesh (Polyatex A4 100 × 150mm, Cousin Biotech) placement, the anterior mesh is sutured on the anterior vaginal wall and passed towards the sacral promontory and the posterior mesh is fixed with a double suture on the elevator ani muscle, both prosthesis are finally sutured on the sacral promontory. The last step of the surgery involves the peritonization of both meshes by simple closure of the previously opened peritoneum.
