BUSINESS OWNER As a business owner, what are your responsibilities? How can you justify the use of children in your factory/mill? What changes, if any, would you be willing to make? How would these changes impact your business?

CHILD WORKER Describe the conditions you work under? (pick one of the images you remember) What is it like working here? How does it feel to have to work in order to provide for your family? What would you rather be doing? What would make working easier for you?

PARENT Why do you allow your child to work at such young ages? How do you tolerate your children working in such horrible conditions? What would it take for you to allow your children to go to school instead of working?

LABOR UNION REPRESENTATIVE What are some of the major problems with factory conditions and child labor during the industrial revolution? What do you recommend be done to help solve these problems? Remember, the owners must still make profits. How can you help the children and poor working families?
