New military technology was being used in World War I New military technology was being used in World War I. The Germans began building powerful ships called submarines. The submarines were able to travel underwater, sneak up on a ship and sink it. U Boats

Poison Gas The Germans also used poison gas to kill their enemies. Then the Allies used it.
