Beginning Farmer and Rancher Codes   A – This is a guaranteed FO loan made in conjunction with a Down Payment FO loan to finance the purchase of real estate. A state Beginning Farm Program also provided assistance. B – This is a guaranteed FO loan made in conjunction with a Down Payment FO loan to finance the purchase of real estate. No assistance was provided by a state Beginning Farm Program. C – Reserved for direct loans only. D – Reserved for direct loans only. E – This is a Beginning Farmer/Rancher receiving guaranteed FP assistance (other than in conjunction with a Down Payment FO loan), and assistance was provided by a state Beginning Farm Program. F – This is a Beginning Farmer/Rancher receiving guaranteed FP assistance (other than in conjunction with a Down Payment FO loan), and no assistance was provided by a state Beginning Farm Program. G – Special OL program. (No longer used.)

Guaranteed Loan Delinquency Codes 01 – Delinquent Disposition Forthcoming 02 – Borrower Will Pay Delinquent Amount 04 – Forced Liquidation Pending 05 – Voluntary Liquidation Pending 06 - Forced Liquidation Pending, Estimated Loss Claim Filed 07 – Voluntary Liquidation Pending, Estimated Loss Claim Filed 08 – Temporary Loan by Lender to Bring Account Current * 09 – Borrower Restructuring Pending 11 – Re-amortization or Rescheduling of Payment Completed * 12 – Deferral of Principal/Interest Payments Completed * 13 – Loan Reinstated and Current * 14 – Bankruptcy Liquidation Filed by Borrower 15 – Bankruptcy Reorganization Filed by Borrower 16 – Bankruptcy Reorganization in Effect, Loan is Current per Bankruptcy Plan * 17 - Bankruptcy Reorganization with Court-Ordered Interest Rate Reduction in Effect, Loan is Current per Bankruptcy Plan * * Indicates that the Code will remove the loan from Delinquency.

Loss Type Codes 01 - Estimated Loss (Liquidation) – Requires loan to have Delinquency Code 4, 5, 9, 14, or 15. 02 - Final Loss (Liquidation) - Requires loan to have Delinquency Code 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 14, or 15. (A Type 2 loss will always terminate the loan.) 04 - Recovery after a final loss – Requires previous Type 2 Loss. (Loan must be terminated.) 05 - Bankruptcy Reorganization Loss - Requires loan to have Delinquency Code 4, 5, 9, 14 or 15. {It will terminate the loan if the input (principal + interest + protective advances + legal fees) x guarantee percent = total amount due lender. This will occur when the adjustment section is blank.} 06 - Debt Restructure Loss (no shared appreciation) - Requires loan to have Delinquency Code 4, 5, 9, 14, or 15. {It may terminate the loan (like Type 5 loss).} 07 - Debt Restructure Loss (with shared appreciation) - Requires Delinquency Code 4, 5, 9, 14, or 15. 08 - Interest Loss Payments (in connection with a bankruptcy reorganization) – No Delinquency Code is required, but loan must be active. 09 - Shared Appreciation Recapture (Full sale of property) – Requires previous Type 7 loss. 10 - Shared Appreciation Recapture (Partial sale of property) – Requires previous Type 7 loss. 13 - Voluntary Payment from Unsecured Debt (in connection with a bankruptcy reorganization) – Requires previous Type, 5, 6, 7, or 8 loss. Loan may be active or terminated. 14 - Compromise Offer Receipt (scheduled payments from borrower after a final liquidation loss) – Requires previous Type 2 loss. Note 1: After a type 5, 6 or 7 loss is processed, the Field Office should submit FSA-2249, Request for Restructuring Guaranteed Loans, to adjust the existing loan amount/terms/interest rate to those stated in the bankruptcy plan/restructuring agreement. Note 2: For loans eligible for offset…..Receipts received after a Type 2 loss will be processed by the Finance Office via the Debt Offset Collection process. (Not with a Type 4 loss.) Type 4 loss will only be used on older loans that are not eligible for offset.
