Back to School Student Training PBIS 2017-18 Back to School Student Training

At PSJ you are expected to follow PROPS At PSJ you are expected to follow PROPS. In each classroom you will find this poster displayed. If you do not follow PROPS you will face consequences. PROPS stands for Prepared, Respect, Order, Property, and Self-Control. Lets take a closer look at PROPS!

PROPS in the Classroom Prepared Have materials Be on time Respect Appropriate Language Follow directions given the 1st time Order Raise hand to speak or leave seat Actively listen Move quickly and quietly to destination Property Take care of school property Self-Control Hands, feet, and objects to yourself Seek help for unresolved conflicts

PROPS in the Hallways Prepared Walk facing forward, single file on the right side Must have a visible hall pass Respect Follow Directions Be considerate of others and their property Order Go directly to your destination Property Do not block hallways with personal items Use and respect your assigned locker Self-Control Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself Refrain from running, jumping, or playing

PROPS in the Restrooms Prepared Keep restroom clean and as you found it Respect Give privacy Be quick Order Stand quietly while taking turns Property Use paper and water appropriately Self-Control Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself

PROPS in the Cafeteria Prepared Bring lunch or necessary funds to purchase meals/snacks Speak clearly when identifying your food selection Respect Follow directions of all adults Order Walk in a single file line facing forwards Remain seated with your class Property Clean up after yourself/class Self-Control Speak softly and act appropriately

PROPS in the Gym Prepared Get dressed and be seated in squads promptly Place personal property in designated areas Respect Follow adult directions Display good sportsmanship Order Refrain from using gum, food, or drink Enter and exit in an orderly manner Property Take care of all athletic facilities appropriately Use all equipment safely and properly Self-Control Refrain from inappropriate running, playing, or jumping Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself

What is Bounce? On your 2nd warning the teacher will send you to a designated classroom. You will quietly enter the classroom and sit at the The Learning Center.

What is The Learning Center? Designated seat for bounced students. You will complete the front and back of bounce reflection. When finished the reflection, raise your hand and turn in to the teacher. Then you will complete assigned classwork. Do not talk, disturb, or make eye contact to anyone in that classroom or you will be sent to the office for a referral.

No Referral Parties At the end of each quarter student who have not receive an office referral will get to participate in a no referral party. This year Student PBIS will be working to determine ideas for the parties.
