Ryder's Question Novels, Why do other writers involve dystopian societies in their novels? Literature has been a defining part of culture since the beginning of language. The dangers of modern times have led to the writing of dystopian novels, novels which warn of an unhappy future. Many people think of Dystopian novels as purely science fiction— while science fiction is a natural fit for a dystopian story, not all dystopian books are considered science fiction.

Ozlyn's Question B.Effects on society  How does a dystopian society affect the people in the hunger games?  A few affects the people of a dystopian society would be believes or feels that something is terribly wrong with the society in which he or she lives. Plus this helps the audience recognized the negative aspect of the dystopian world though his or her perspective. Now  in   the hunger games the dystopian society  is showed by the reaping. Which is when two kids are pick from a distinct and choose to fight to,the death with other distinct.

Brandon's Question C purpose= why does Collins write about the dystopian society in the novel?    Propaganda is use to control the citizens of society. “The real message is clear, ‘Look how we take your children and sacrifice them and there’s nothing you can do. If you lift a finger we will destroy ever last one of you. Just as we did in District Thirteen’” (Collins 19). This is the constant message the Capitol is telling the districts of what they can do, and this makes the citizens afraid of the Capitol because they know that the Capitol can destroy them. “Haymitch couldn’t be sending me a clearer message. One kiss equals one pot of broth.” (Collins 261).
