With firm concentration on the international marine defence and rescue markets, Marine Industries Plc have designed a new range of Fast Patrol Attack/Rescue/Anti-Piracy boats under the Monza Brand. The Monza Fast Patrol/Attack Craft (MPA-17) has been designed for offshore patrol missions that require high speed capability in difficult waters. The MPA- 17 is an advanced design Long Range Interceptor (LRI) and is an ideal craft for numerous professional organisations including Special Forces, Marine Police, Coastguard, Oil Companies and many others. The MPA-17 offers unprecedented performance and speed rarely seen for this type of vessel – 70 knots plus. CAPABILITIES OF THE MONZA STEALTH INTERCEPTOR With an operational crew of 4 and an option for a further 10 seats for transiting commandos or rescued bodies, the MPA-17 can be specified as a long range lifeboat/troop carrier, a Fast Patrol Attack craft or as an insertion vessel. The MPA-17 is supplied with twin 1450hp Gas Turbines plus a 925hp MTU Diesel as standard all working through Rolls Royce Water Jets. These power systems allows the MPA-17 to stay out at sea for 4/5 days at a time in all types of operating environments.
