Notebook Check Grade the notebook one page at a time. Put a  in the box if the item meets the requirements. Add up the s to get the score for that page. Circle anything that is missing on the rubric. (Is it on the wrong page? Circle the pg. # and -1 point.) If you have questions, ask your partner first. DO NOT RETURN NOTEBOOKS TO THE OWNERS UNTIL TOLD TO DO SO.

Notebook Cover: Needs to be on the notebook Needs to be laminated Needs to have a  or  stamp (The  stamp NEVER gets points.)

Must be signed & Initialed

Every rule must have highlighting. Must be signed & dated

Carefully count the scores and add the total to the bottom. Check to make sure ALL pages have been numbered ALL THE WAY to the end of the notebook. Take off five points if it has not been done. Read your AR book.

When you get your notebook: Check the math! Figure out why you got the score you did. Answer the TWO questions; fill out the “Appeal” if you need to. Be sure to use complete sentences! Put the rubric inside your notebook. It will be picked up from your desk. Read your AR book when you are done.
