NRPs - Why do we need them?/how can they help us? Reporting global SDG indicators to custodian agencies Communicating results to users (authoritative source for national statistics on SDGs) Collecting data and metadata from other producers Organising data and metadata Coordination (users and producers)

Different solutions Platform specifically developed for SDG reporting Integration of SDG reporting in existing platform Re-modelling of pre-existing platform Re-use of already developed SDG platform Specifically developed interface using statistics from general database » The needs of users and producers and the setup and capabilities of the statistical system are key «

Minimum features of NRPs Gathers official statistics calculated according to established and reliable methodology Provide metadata in a transparent manner Be publicly accessible

Additional Features of NRPs Features for users analytical tools visualisation open data global and national indicators Improving statistics quality control validation mechanisms allow for feedback from data users Coordination tool collection of data and metadata technology for transmitting data and metadata

Conclusions Various solutions possible Needs of users and producers are key System setup and capabilities needs to be taken into account
