Systems Test

Digestive system What are the 4 functions of the digestive system? What are the major organs of the digestive system? What do they do? Be able to label a diagram – you have to study this; you can’t put it on your crib sheet. Know the route food takes from ingestion to elimination. How does this system work with other systems?

Respiratory system What is the function and task carried out by this system? What are the major organs in this system? What do they do? Explain the process of gas exchange (alveoli and capillaries). Know the diagram to demonstrate this – in notes! How does this system work together with other systems?

Circulatory system What is the function of this system? What are the components of this system and what do they do? (arteries, veins, capillaries, red/white blood cells, plasma, platelets) What are the components of the heart? (4 chambers, aorta, pulmonary veins and arteries)

Medical imaging technology CT Scan, MRI, Ultrasound, X ray – what are these and what are they used for?

details Test is Tuesday!!!!
