Centre for Sustainable Fashion The Centre for Sustainable Fashion provokes, challenges and questions the fashion status quo. Through collaboration we design transforming solutions that balance ecology, society and culture.

Shared Talent South Africa Green Gown Award for Social Responsibility 2008

Shared Talent What is the role of design in moving us towards a more sustainable fashion industry where social justice, ecological balance, culture and identity are part of the definition of fashion? What are the practical implications of such a role?

Shared Talent Design is what links creativity and innovation. It shapes ideas to become practical and attractive propositions for users or customers. Design may be described as creativity deployed to a specific end. The Cox Review of Creativity in Business, 2005

Shared Talent - 12 London College of Fashion students from across disciplines. - Working with South African crafts groups supporting women with HIV and AIDS. - Bringing skills and creativity together to create new fashion products as a result of collaboration and sharing of talent.

Shared Talent as a model is currently undergoing its third incarnation, working with Indian designers to showcase Indian sustainable textiles, with the support of Defra.
