Fig. 3 The signaling pathways and the stress response are activated by EMF. The activation mechanisms discussed in the text are indicated by arrows. In the stress response, DNA activation leads to hsp synthesis and may be due to direct EMF interaction with DNA. The signaling pathways are activated by reactive oxygen species (ROS) that are probably generated by EMF. Possible interactions between the pathways, DNA and hsp are indicated with question marks.
