SUBSTITUTION 8th Grade/Unit 2 Formative Performance Task 1 SUBSTITUTION How did similarities and differences between the ethnic groups cause conflict and cooperation between the Native Americans and French and Spanish colonies? (8.2.4, 8.4.2) Description of Formative Performance Task: You will take notes while watching an Edpuzzle video in Blackboard about the French colony of Louisiana and their relationship with the Native Americans and discuss findings with a partner and the class. Steps: Log on to Blackboard. Go to Ms. Latil’s Blackboard site. Click on IMPACT RESOURCES tab. Click on Task One Video icon. Watch the video, while taking notes. After watching video, share/compare notes with a partner. Partners will share findings during a whole class discussion. Steps: Open the Kahoot app on your iPad. Enter the code given by Ms. Latil. Create a nickname of your first initial, and initial and seat number (Examples: SL30) Wait for the game to begin! Choose five slides to critique. Type your code name and feedback for each slide in the Speaker Notes, found at the bottom of the screen. All feedback will be monitored by the teacher.
