NAVY HEALTH PROFESSIONS SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM (HPSP) 20,000 signing bonus 100% of your tuition is paid Monthly stipend of $2,200.73 to spend as you like All educationally required school fees (minus housing and meals) are paid Full reimbursement for required books, supplies, and equipment Active duty pay and benefits for 45 days a year Agree to serve on Active duty for 4 years upon completion of school Optional 45 days active duty time per year. Can be assigned 45 days to school to study and collect the active duty pay while you’re studying. Med students will typically utilize the first summer break to go to ODS which will encompass the 45 days. Dental students attend ODS after dental school. The Navy will pay the cost for the dental kit that is required for dental school which is often a few thousand dollars.

NAVY HPSP Minimum DAT 18 For DAT of 22 or higher, may apply for HPSP without a letter of acceptance to dental school. APPLY EARLY!!! Program generally closes in Jan/Feb Competitive profile: GPA 3.58/DAT 20

NAVY HEALTH SERVICES COLLEGIATE PROGRAM (HSCP) Minimum DAT 17 Alternative to scholarship program Students in HSCP receive full pay and benefits of a Navy E-6 while attending school: Monthly salary of $2,404.50/month Tax-free housing allowance of $1404.00/month FREE health insurance for you and dependents Upon graduation, commission as O-3, receive pay with 4 years time-in-service credit (additional $1300/month) -This program can always be marked as a secondary in the event you are not selected for HPSP. This program would be more beneficial for someone not concerned about loans and that may be considering the military for a career. One benefit of this program is after completing school you will be receiving pay as an O3 with 4 years of service rather than an O3 with zero years of service.
