Loving Jesus More – as a Sacrifice Grandview Pines Gospel Meeting - #5 Loving Jesus More – as a Sacrifice

Sacrifice – “To offer, destroy, surrender, suffer to be lost.” Two Kinds of Sacrifice The first type of sacrifice - the offering of something on behalf of another. The second type of sacrifice - surrendering something you can never regain.

The common understanding of Jesus’ sacrifice Hebrews 9:23- 10:10

Why the anguish in the Garden? (Luke 22:41-45) Jesus gave something that he could never get back again. What was it? A Deeper Sacrifice Philippians 2:5-8 Hebrews 2:7-18 1 Corinthians 15:24-28

What about Jesus’ Power? Ephesians 1:20-23 What about Jesus’ Power? Matthew 28:18 Philippians 2:9-11

We may not understand all the details of what happened and how, but there is no doubt the sacrifice of Jesus was far greater than just the momentary loss of life on the cross. CONCLUSION
