Buddhism Short and Sweet

The Basics Siddhartha Gautama was a prince who decided to be a monk. Buddha is not a god, he is the founder. Buddha means “the enlightened one”. The point of the religion is find Nirvana, or ultimate peace. No god or emperor (not even Buddha himself) tells Buddhist how to live, the Four Noble Truths do. The Basics

The Four Noble Truths can be summarized in one sentence The Four Noble Truths can be summarized in one sentence. Everyone suffers in life because they want earthly things (cars, houses, video games, lots of money, etc.) To stop suffering, the Four Noble Truths tell us to use the Eightfold Path How to Live?
