OK – I’m beginning to understand how some of the challenges of implementing EBP can be overcome!
Remember that practitioners bring together many types of knowledge in order to form a very broad evidence base for high quality care. This amalgam is called “clinical mindlines”. Gabbay and le May (2011)
And I now understand that clinically effective care combines different sorts of knowledge not just research – that had never really been clear in the literature before!
