Revision in Science – Year 9
Key Steps Be organised.....use your Science plastic display folder. Put all your revision notes, exam questions etc in it! Work in a quiet place or with soft background music (you do not want to overstimulate your brain!). Work out what you need to know. Use the topic outline provided at the beginning of the unit to help.
Chunking! A chunk is how much time you give to your revision 20 mins solid concentration on one aspect of your learning. 10 mins reward. (facebook, playstation, tv etc). You should not be giving yourself rewards until you have earned it! Allocate your time wisely. If you have a week to reverse, you need to give yourself an hour each evening and more time at the weekend. Android and apple have free study apps. to time you!
