COURSE INSTRUCTIONS Minimum Requirements Microsoft Windows 2000 PowerPoint 2003 Windows Media Player version 9: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/9series/default.aspx Course Launch Instructions If you are viewing the course through your Web browser, it will automatically launch in “Slide Show” mode. Upon completion of this module, launch the files sequentially (Dramatic Video, Module 1, Module 2, etc.) until completing the course with Module 7. If you are downloading the modules to your computer, note that each zipped file for download contains a folder with the PowerPoint Slide Show file for that module as well as associated audio and video files. To launch a module, double-click on the PowerPoint Slide Show file and the module will automatically go to full screen. Navigation Slides can be advanced forward or backwards using the arrow buttons located in bottom right corner of each slide (shown below). On each slide, there is a “Play/Pause Audio” button located in the bottom left corner (shown below) that can be used to play narration to accompany the slide’s content. Click once to start the narration and again to pause it.

COURSE INSTRUCTIONS Navigation for those downloading course modules End of Module Navigation On the last slide of each module, there is a navigation screen that can be used whether you are downloading course modules or viewing them in your Web browser. For those who have downloaded modules, you have the option of either returning to the Web site to download additional modules or exiting that particular module and the entire training. If you are viewing modules in your Web browser, you will be able to click on a button to return to the course’s main menu. COURSE INSTRUCTIONS Subtopic Navigation Module Intro Slides Each module begins with an introduction slide listing all topics covered in the module. By clicking arrows next to each subtopic, users can jump to the specific subtopics. Subtopic Navigation

COURSE INSTRUCTIONS Module Markers Content Slides Module markers can be found in the upper right hand corner (under the module title) on each slide. These markers identify the module, but cannot be used for navigation between modules. Module Markers

COURSE INSTRUCTIONS Video Still & Play Button Video Slides Click the “Play” button on the still image to launch the clip. The video will then go to full screen on your computer. When the video ends, the presentation will automatically return to the slide where you left off. To exit the video while it is playing, click the “Esc” button on your keyboard to return to the presentation. Video Still & Play Button Play Button

COURSE INSTRUCTIONS Quizzes At the end of each module, there is a four-question quiz. Follow the onscreen instructions on each slide. After successfully completing the quiz in the last module, you will receive a certificate of completion for the course.
