Trauma Sim

What is Trauma Sim The trauma sim day provides multidisciplinary trauma team training. By using Hi-fi simulation mannequins it allows TTLs and TTM to manage complex real life trauma scenarios. Each case has specific learning outcomes

Learning objectives: 56 male crushed by falling masonry Increase awareness of Pre-arrival Team Briefing (ATMIST/roles & responsibilities) Awareness of critical actions In bleeding trauma patient – MHP activation, Code Red, arrest of external bleeding & decision-making re: definitive care. Technical points – CAT tourniquet, Pelvic binder, Thomas Splint, level 1 Explore issues around effective communication, team working & leadership Recognition of arrest +/- management Risks of hypovolaemic induction
