I. God is a Father of Love Compassionate / Merciful Gracious Slow to Anger Abounding in Lovingkindness Abounding in Truth Maintaining Love Forgiving

II. God is a father of Justice / righteousness He will by no means leave the quilty unpunished . . . . God’s wrath. Holy

The Ten Commandments?

The First 4 Commandments? You shall have no other gods before me. You shall not make any idols. You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain. Remember the Sabbath Day.

The Last 6 Commandments? Honor your father and mother. You shall not murder. You shall not commit adultery. You shall not steal. You shall not lie. You shall not covet.

II. God is a father of Justice / righteousness He will by no means leave the guilty unpunished . . . . God’s wrath. Holy Righteous and justice are the foundation of His throne.

III. God is a Father Perfectly Consistent to His Character At the cross, God demonstrated His character of love – Rom. 5:8. At the cross, God demonstrated His character of righteousness / justice – Rom. 3:24-25.
