Micah tells us much about the coming of Jesus. In doing so, we have many reasons to rejoice.

Reasons to be thankful: 1) Our faithful God makes much out of little. “But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times.” Micah 5:2

“Then Jesus declared, ‘I am the bread of life “Then Jesus declared, ‘I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.’” John 6:35

“Then Daniel praised the God of heaven and said: ‘Praise be to the name of God for ever and ever; wisdom and power are his. He changes times and seasons; he deposes kings and raises up others.’” Daniel 2:19b-21

: “Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called : “Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise;

God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things – and the things that are not – to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him.” 1 Corinthians 1:26-29

Reasons to be thankful: 2) Jesus stands strong in His care for each of us. “He will stand and shepherd his flock in the strength of the Lord.” Micah 5:4a

life for the sheep.’” John 10:14 “’I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me – just as the Father knows me and I know the Father – and I lay down my life for the sheep.’” John 10:14

Reasons to be thankful: 3) He is the Best News. “…in the majesty of the name of the Lord his God. And they will live securely, for then his greatness will reach to the ends of the earth.” Micah 5:4b

“Please pray for me in the desire God has given me to preach the gospel. I pray that every day I will be able to share the gospel with one person. Pray that God will allow me to share the gospel and that many will come to Christ.” -Suman

Reasons to be thankful: “And He will be our peace.” 4) He brings peace. “And He will be our peace.” Micah 5:5a

What kind of peace? Internal – Peace within External – Peace with others Eternal – Peace with God
