Photo Background France has finally returned after six weeks of war.  After the French surrender, Adolf Hitler personally went to Paris to make the visit. Photographed in front of the Eiffel Tower and filmed, the Führer was acting as tourist, art lover, but instead, was creating propaganda for diplomatic reasons. Everything was planned down to the smallest details , the security is there, though it subtracted from the picture - with the notable exception of the French police to the right.  Even the date seems to have been calculated : June 28, 1940, was 21 years to the day after the signing of the Treaty of Versailles.
