Bismarck: Master Planner or Opportunist? Lesson Aim: To plan a section of an essay to present to the class.

Then I will make a power point of notes and one of essay paragraphs. Your presentations! Then I will make a power point of notes and one of essay paragraphs. I would then recommend your print this off and add it to your notes otherwise you don’t have any!

Read through Miss Owen’s essay plan, Highlight key points/arguments. Homework: Make sure you have a good understanding of what happened. A questions on this material is VERY likely. I will check this next week.

What were the PRIME factors in German Unification? it is very useful to have notes for an essay on Bismarck as he is so central to unification, but ‘opportunist/master planner’ has yet to come –up, but it may do! Usually the question comes up in terms of PRIME (same idea as LUCIA acronym). E.g. To what extent do you agree that role of Bismarck was most significant in German unification? Political factors, Role of Bismarck, International Factors, Military factors, Economic situation (in Prussia).

To what extent do you agree that role of Bismarck was most significant in German unification? Alter your title to the one above, but remember, any factor could be put in the question. Add 3 bits of specific evidence to your section/make sure you understand, so you can explain to others. Add ideas to your grid. Share you information with others. Homework: Write up the answer to this essay.

International Situation Political Factors Role of Bismarck International Situation Military Factors Economic Factors
