Vertical profiles? What profile data is available for the arctic? When and where? Are the depths suitable for diurnal warming study? Other things people want to know?

About the data This data from the Institute of Marine Research (http://www.imr.no, Sjur R. Lid) Also available from the MyOcean In-situ TAC Dabbled with ~6 years of data (2007-2013) Types of sources in data set include: Profiler-gliders, vessels, drifters, mooring, other/etc

Profilers and gliders Includes Argo floats (mostly APEX profiling floats), coastal profilers and gliders

Vessels Research vessels, Volunteer Observer Ships and fishing boats e.g. IMR transects --->

Data source types, cont. drifters – drifting buoys, many are ice drifters mooring – mostly Ice-Tethered Profilers (ITP) etc – other or unknown, includes elephant seals and “unknown sea mammal”

Where are the profiles?
