Development of Farming Notes Page: _____ What was life like before farming? How did farming change man’s life? What pushed humans to begin farming? What were some of the tools needed for farming? What were some challenges early farmers faced?

What types of plants were domesticated and cultivated? How did the domestication of plants and animals affect the way humans interacted with their environment? Farming Activity Directions: On the paper provided, write a letter, (five to eight sentences), to a nomadic clan convincing them to start farming and domesticating animals. Tell them the benefits of moving into the Neolithic Era. Site specific examples and draw an image that represents this new way of life.
