Statement of the Problem Title : AWARENESS, ACCEPTANCE AND CHALLENGES OF TEACHERS AND PARENTS TO PUPILS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS Statement of the Problem The study aims to determine the awareness, acceptance, and challenges of teachers and parents to pupils with special needs in selected Special Education Centers in Cebu City, school year 2016-2017. Specifically, the study seeks to answer the following subsidiary problems:

Statement of the Problem The study aims to determine the awareness, acceptance, and challenges of teachers and parents in handling pupils with special needs in selected Special Education Centers in Cebu City, school year 2016-2017. Specifically, the study seeks to answer the following sub-topics: 1. To determine the perceptions of the teachers and the parents of pupils with special needs in inclusive classroom setting in terms of the following: 1.1 Awareness; 1.2 Acceptance. 2. To determine the challenges of the teachers and the parents of pupils with special needs.

Statement of the Problem: The main objective of this study is to determine the nature, types, participation and factors influencing the occurrence of physical and sexual aggression among women inmates in a Central Philippines Rehabilitation Center from June-July, 2013.

Sub problems: Specifically, the study aims to answer the following objectives: 1. To determine the personal characteristics of selected women inmates in the Center. 2. To describe the perceived types of physical and sexual aggression occurring among them. 3. To describe how these women inmates participate in the acts of physical and sexual aggression. 4. To determine how these women inmates respond to the occurrence of physical and sexual aggression among them.

The primary purpose of the study is to determine the socio-cultural factors associated with the oral communicative competence of English as a Second Language (ESL) of the teachers in three campuses of Smile Means Everything (SME) Philippines Training Center, Cebu City, Philippines, SY 2014-2015.

Specifically, this study aims to answer the following questions: 1. What is the socio-cultural profile of the ESL teachers in three campuses of SME with reference to: 1.1 Social Factors: 1.1.1 Age; 1.1.2 Sex; 1.1.3 Educational Attainment (field of specialization); 1.1.4 Years in Teaching ESL; 1.1.5 Number of Trainings in ESL; 1.2 Cultural Factors: 1.2.1 Languages spoken; 1.2.2 Travel experience; and 1.2.3 Learning Enhancement Activities?

2. What is the extent of the oral communicative competence of the ESL teachers in three campuses in terms of their: 3. Does the socio-cultural profile of the ESL teachers in three campuses of SME significantly related with their oral communicative competence? 4. How has the knowledge of the culture of the ESL learners and native speakers played a role in ESL teaching?

V. Significance of the Study   Significance of the study in a research manuscript lists the benefits of the study either to a body of scientific knowledge, to practitioners in the area of the research or to any other group which will benefit from the results. In short, this will answer the question: Why is it important for the study to be conducted? Who will benefit from it? What benefits could be derived from the study?

The goal is to have a better quality of life for children with special needs and maximize their potentials and skills through creating a non-threatening and non-discriminating environment.
