It is therefore important to spend time on this first session to enable the group to begin to get to know each other and share why people are attending and what experiences they bring with them. The session plan provides an example of an icebreaker, but you can also use your own materials. Throughout the units as facilitators we will endeavour to role model what will be covered (practice what we preach).
