POINT OF VIEW

1st Person Uses “I” or “me” The author or narrator tells own story His (or her) thoughts only

Example of 1st Person: “I went to school the next day wearing two T-shirts under my turtleneck. I felt solid. By the end of last week, I was wearing three T-shirts under my rugby shirt.”

3rd Person Uses “he” and “him” Tells about another person Can give facts

Example of 3rd Person: Every time he passed a mirror, Craig flexed his muscles. He wanted to look “insanely big—like an action figure.”
