Gosford Readiness | People Readiness ___________ Background The NSW Government is committed to supporting the growth of regional areas. As part of this commitment, four Business Units (BU) from Revenue NSW were identified for relocation to Gosford. In preparation for relocating to Gosford, the “Gosford Readiness Program” was established to capture work processes and training needs for people relocating or establishing themselves in Gosford as part of the project. A Training Needs Analysis (TNA) was conducted to identify the competencies and associated courses that would be required for each BU and specific roles and grades. The outcome of the TNA formed the starting point of a 9 month project, to develop the Digital Education Strategy, which includes: Planning, designing and deploying over 80 eLearning/blended Knowledge Management courses; Setup and development of an externally hosted Learning Management System (LMS) – Moodle; and Integrating the LMS with the HR Reporting System. Gosford Readiness | People Readiness ___________ Project Benefits The Gosford project has not only provided immediate/project specific requirements but additional benefits for Revenue NSW, long term: Up-to-date Learning Knowledge Management System for Revenue NSW business practices. Moving from traditional pedagogy to heutagogy (collaborative/learner focused learning style). Upskilling of existing learning and development team. Development of formalised process/procedures within Learning and Assessment (designed to the level of an Enterprise Registered Training Organisation). Introduction of a managed intuitive LMS/Moodle (Revenue Community) that integrates into the reporting function of the HR System ie. Moodle reports that transfer information about student completions. Planning and Deployment ___________ Deployment All courses will be deployed in a ‘Blended’ approach: Role/Grade specific Training Plan: Clustered eLearning modules to be completed online (report from Moodle uploaded into HR reporting system). 1 Day structured workshop group session to consolidate clustered modules (recorded on HR reporting system). Supervisor observation and on-the-job assessment - Observation checklist (sign-off recorded on HR reporting system). Refresher eLearning modules scheduled on a yearly basis (recorded on HR reporting system). Outcome = Competent and Gosford Work Ready Planning and Deployment ___________ Deployment
