4 Term IB ART Homework 1 Due April 9th HL1 Collect Materials and create a journal page in a collage style. Write ideas for a collage project. HL2 and SL Create a sketch of the design you want to paint on your pillar. Tape your pillar with you name. Begin sanding. You may work together on one pillar. If your Gallery is not uploaded, finished, to me by the APRIL 5th you will lose 30 points.

4 Term IB ART Homework 2 Due April 16th HL1 Pick one or two elements of art. Create an idea page that shows exploration of that art element (line, shape, texture, value, color, etc.) HL2 and SL Take a picture of Your pillar in progress. Send the picture to my IB link. Line

4 Term IB ART Homework 3 Due April 23rd HL1 In your journal, create a process page for one of your projects. Include photos, writing about the process and frustrations HL2 and SL Find two non IB students. Show them your pillar and write down their first name, comments or questions. Turn in or upload them to me.

4 Term IB ART Homework 4 Due April 30th HL1 Find some interesting objects. Draw Them on one sketchbook page (Overlap objects) Use five different mediums ( pencil, ink, crayon, pastel, watercolor, etc.) HL2 and SL Find an adult in the building. Not IB. Ask them to look at your pillar. Write their name and comments or questions, turn in.

4 Term IB ART Homework 5 Due May 7th HL1 In your journal, create a project idea page for a summer project sketch and list the materials you will need. HL2 and SL Take a selfie with your pillar and upload to my link. Select and give to Ms. V an artwork for display at TARTanfest. 4 Term IB ART Homework 6 Due May 14th HL1 Create a journal page about one of your projects that has been frustrating. Include some images (unfinished) and write about the problems you encountered and what you did to solve the problems. HL2 and SL Write a critique of your pillar. Use the form from my web page. Turn into the box. My vase was harder to paint than I thought, some colors had to have several layers. I also had problems with the handle on the lid coming off…. (etc)

4 Term IB ART Homework 7 Due May 21st HL1 Google ‘IB Artist Comparative Examples’ Look at student work and in your journal, write down the two artists you are comparing, and why. Include at least two images and cite sources. HL2 and SL Take a final picture of your finished pillar and upload to my link. I could create a yarn painting in the style of the Huichol Art. I will have geometric divisions and objects that have a significance to me.
