No more sight word tests! Week of: May 15-19, 2017 NEWS HOMEWORK We will be having our final tests, 4th Nine Weeks Assessments, this week. Math will be Tuesday morning and Reading will be on Wednesday morning. Monday,May 22-1st grade Awards, 2:00, in the cafeteria with all of First Grade. Parents are invited to attend. Tuesday,May 23-Field Day, 10:10-12:15, a more detailed note will be coming home about this soon. Thursday,May 25-Early Release for last day of school! No After School Care Math: Tue.-no homework; Thu.-no homework Reading- Read in Treasures We will not have any further tests over Treasures stories. Please make sure your child is reading their Treasures book stories each night to practice fluency so that they will do well on reading accuracy tests. Our goal in First Grade is to be able to read 60 words per minute by the end of the year. Spelling-practice writing words throughout the week. We have also been writing sentences dictated to us for a test. Sight Words-practice saying each word without sounding out in 3 seconds or less. Spelling NO MORE SPELLING TESTS!
