April Newsletter Ms. Lisa and Ms. Carmela’s 3’s Dates to Remember THEME: Spring LETTERS: K, U and O CRAFTS: The children will tear paper to create owls, paint with Kool Aid, and create an umbrella craft. MATH: Just a couple activities are patterning with umbrellas and owls and matching kites by color. SCIENCE: We will be using a balance to weigh keys and seashells and explore color with rainbow color paddles. FINE MOTOR: The children will work on their pencil grip while tracing the letters in their names and continue to practice their scissor skills. A FEW BOOKS WE WILL READ Kite Day We Like Kites A Great Day for Up Over in the Ocean A FEW SONGS WE WILL SING Who is the King of the Jungle Do you Know the Umbrella Man? Take Me Out to the Ocean I’m a Little Kite (see below) I'm a Little Kite (Tune: I'm a Little Teapot) I'm a little kite up in the sky. See me flying, oh, so high. When the wind begins to blow and blow, I twirl and swirl, just watch me go. Dates to Remember April 2nd- 6th: Spring Break Friday, April 13th: School Closed Monday, April 16th: MWF Bird Lady (rescheduled)
