Setting: Clínica Baviera, Instituto Oftalmológico Europeo, Spain. Purpose Evaluate visual outcomes and patients satisfaction after cataract or clear lens surgery with diffractive multifocal Acritec 366D implantation. Setting: Clínica Baviera, Instituto Oftalmológico Europeo, Spain. Non Financial Interest Margarita Cabanás, MD

Methods 265 patients underwent cataract , myopic or hyperopic clear lens extractions in both eyes (530 eyes). They underwent phacoemulsification with topic anaesthesia and implantation an Acritec 366D diffractive multifocal IOL. Shorter time or follow-up were six months. Uncorrected and best corrected far, middle and near vision were recorded after one, two and three months after surgery. Contrast sensitivity testing was examined. Patients completed a questionnaire about their subjective perception of visual function or satisfaction test. Non Financial Interest Margarita Cabanás, MD

Results Best uncorrected vision were qualified by patients like very good and good in 92% of cases in far distance, 76% in middle vision and 82% in near vision. 88% patients didn’t notice changes driving at night after surgery and 96% achieved good night vision. Contrast sensitivity test showed profit in all the frequencies, without statistically significance differences (probably because of cataract group). 98% of patients were satisfied or very satisfied ant 99,3 would underwent same surgery again.
