Some Issues, Some Discoveries?, Something Interesting Milan Roberson PTF Data Set 4 Analysis Some Issues, Some Discoveries?, Something Interesting Milan Roberson

Noisier Signals PTFS 1500du, 1.875814 hour period Exciting, very short period. Later found out to be sdB pulsator. PTFS 1313ax, 15.69188 hour period PTFS 1716b, 31.646 minute period

More observations needed to better characterize system (e. g More observations needed to better characterize system (e.g. rule out double period of ) PTFS 1514cj, 7.78361 hour period

Cleaner signals PTFS 1717h, 2.3149 hour period 1717h not likely to be caused by ellipsoidal variations, instead probably reflection binary. Can test by looking for emission lines near peak magnitude. PTFS 1600k, 6.481815 hour period PTFS 1621h, 4.4845 hour period 1600k and 1621h have smaller amplitudes of variability, more likely to be ellipsoidal variations caused by tidal forces in a compact system

PTFS 1516bk, a close binary PTFS 1516bk A: 2.88 RB, side closest to B is warmed to 1.04 TA PTFS 1516bk B: 1 RB, 1.57 TA Period: 7.4232 hours
