Formation of relationships Matching Hypothesis Introduction to Year 2 Psychology

Thinking question What is the purpose of method in a psychological report? Think back to research you have already seen... Milgram Kohlberg Raine, Buchsbaum and LaCasse

Learning objective: To continue your personal investigation into the matching hypothesis. Success criteria: Take part in a class discussion about the purpose of the method. Write the method of your investigation in your group, using the recommended subsections. Challenge Mark another group’s method.

Method The most important thing to remember is that from your method anyone should be able to pick up your report and replicate your research. Your method will be written in your groups, as it’s important you all have the same design and standardised instructions etc. You are not required to include your standardised instructions, consent form, and photos in the method section, they should be shown in the appendix.

Plenary Swap seats with another group. Read their method. Write suggestions for improvement on a post it note and stick it to their screen.
