Unit C: Heat and Temperature Experiments + Demonstrations

Woosh bottle -Exothermic Add 5mL methanol into culligan water bottle Safely ignite + drop in flame (use tongs) Science: Exothermic reaction: releasing heat (thermal energy) getting hotter Endothermic reaction: absorbing heat (getting colder) ex. Ice packs

Boiling Point-Phase Changes Ice-water-steam Fusion/melting point at 0oC Evaporation/boiling point at 100oC…or is it?
