Sentence Mistakes Run on sentences. Comma splice A sentence ends after a subject, verb, and a complete thought. Do not allow more than one thought into a sentence. This is a run-on. Dan went to the store he is my manager. Comma splice Separating sentences with commas. Sarah and I are best friends, we do everything together.
Proofread your Work! There were many examples of leaving words out of a sentence, words spelled incorrectly, words repeated, and letters inverted. Have a parent or friends look over your work before you turn it in. Projects turned in for a grade should be a sample of your BEST work. If you need additional help, come see me about tutoring.
