Internet Learning Opportunities Liz’s Mission ... Support COSC Community Learning Champions to be aware of how learning opportunities can be accessed and promoted using the internet.  

What does the perfect Community Learning Champion look like? Someone who is motivated to get learning happening in their local community. Someone who is willing to share the knowledge they gain with others.

What else did we learn? There is more info on learning opportunities on the on-line Learning Supporters course – 1 person from each COSC centre did this longer course. There are lots of useful websites - Eg For disability support in employment and education/learning go to ... http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/DisabledPeople/index.htm

What actions did we agree? COSC - Tell friends/family/new members about learning opportunities. Liz to make a COSC mini resource. COSC/Liz - Resources with voice/signing? COSC/Donna - Put COSC mini resource on website/blogs/newsletter. COSC – Poss run advice sessions to share their knowledge – At COSC or in community? Set up a learning noticeboard @ Cleator Moor
